Definitions to Know:

 

       Music: The art of sound in time.

 

       Beat:   The repeated pulse of the music.

       Rhythm:  The organization of music in time using long & short note values.

 

       Pitch:  The “highness” or “lowness” of a tone.

 

       Dynamics:  The “loudness” or “softness” of the music.
